Muffins with Mom and Doughnuts with Dad

Last week we celebrated the letters 'm' and 'd' by hosting Muffins with Mom and Doughnuts with Dad. Our moms and dads came by one morning and we had breakfast with them! The kids always love to show what we have learned the first week of school and what all we've done. It's also a perfect time to do a writing activity. We wrote what our moms and dads would do if we gave them a doughnut or muffin. Then we put them all outside in the hallways for our parents to see. :)

The kids got to pick what kind of muffin they wanted to make: strawberry, blueberry, or chocolate chip muffins. They also picked chocolate, lemon, or cream filled doughnuts.

Next week we finally start our reading series! We'll be learning all about the short a sound. I'll be back later this week to share with y'all!
